The Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine student clinic gives aspiring acupuncturists the opportunity to directly interact with patients within the first year, in which students learn first hand about Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
By the 2nd year, our students have learned the essentials of TCM diagnosis and needling techniques. They are able to conduct patient in-takes and treatments.
By the 3rd year, our students have reached their full potential in TCM diagnosis and needling techniques. They are able to correctly administer any type of treatments.
The difference between ATOM and other schools is that ATOM offers a strong combination of Eastern and Western medical training, allowing ATOM acupuncturists to work within a complimentary Western diagnostic framework while treating in a natural holistic manner.
